Learning Outcomes in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Communication Competencies
The TODOS Project announces its learning outcomes. These outcomes stem from a collaborative process of analysis, validation, and harmonization involving six universities across Cuba, Costa Rica, and Mozambique, aimed at establishing a common competency framework for Sustainable Local Development (SLD). Organized around leadership, entrepreneurship, and communication competencies, the results reflect needs identified within the various territories and seek to strengthen the role of university faculty as agents of social transformation.
The comparative analysis revealed a high degree of convergence among the institutions, highlighting the value placed on essential transversal competencies—such as complex problem-solving, teamwork, participatory leadership, project management, creativity, innovation, effective communication, and engagement with diverse local stakeholders. These competencies form a shared training core designed to address the challenges of sustainable local development.
Despite the identified convergences, the study also highlights institutional specificities arising from distinct territorial, social, and cultural contexts. These particularities enrich the common competency framework and demonstrate the need to adapt training resources to local realities. Collectively, the learning outcomes reinforce the importance of curricula that are contextualized, collaborative, and focused on promoting innovative, sustainable solutions, thereby consolidating the role of universities as strategic partners in territorial development.
